Another One Bites the Dust - Bye Bye Abba

I wish I was actually singing the lyrics to the popular song from Queen, but know this is about another great man that passed on - Mallam Abba Kyari dies.

Some few weeks ago I posted an article titled - When a Country Wants Her Leaders Dead, where I mentioned the Nigerian people's perception of the COVID-19 pandemic.

So I woke up in the middle of the night to take a leak and in my usual style, used my phone's back-lit to navigate my way to the toilet. I love to press my phone in the toilet and sometimes scribble some things out. I think I get some inspiration from the solitude. Anyways, I decided to check Twitter for any trending early news and boom - RIP Mallam Abba Kyari. This was from the official Twitter handles of Garba Shehu and Femi Adeshina.

Death is a debt we all owe and must pay. According to JJ Omojuwa, crying over the dead is like a dead body crying over another one no one gets outta this life alive.

Whatever we do and no matter how angry we get, please let's avoid wishing another man dead. I can imagine how the families of the late Chief of Staff felt seeing people's thoughts on their father's COVID-19 positive and on eventually getting the news that he passed.

Well,  RIP to the dead and may his shortcomings be forgiven.

Anyways, what do I even know sef.
