Clueless...

I hope I'm able to come up with anything that makes sense in this possible series of posts - the Clueless Series. 2020 so far has not been the best of days for the world and it looks like COVID-19 is not only the virus ravaging the world.
It's been over month since I posted as I had to go more spiritual, thanks to the holy month of Ramadan. However, this was not the kind of comeback I wanted. From police brutality in the US and of course Nigeria, to banditry and sexual violence in Nigeria and the annoying excusionist giving reasons to seemingly blame the rape victim, I wonder if there is any thing left of our humanity.

I have decided to make it a "Clueless Series" because I think I'm a bit clueless at this point just as many other sane people are. George Floyd's case was just one of the many inhumane treatments received by humans from humans. I'm being careful not to tag any race here even if we all know the most probable victims.

My cluelessness also stems from the fact that black on black crimes have also led to hundreds of deaths yearly in the United States.

Back to where I live, Nigeria, police brutality is commonplace, which explains why I decided not to tag any race in Floyd's matter as the only race we should be bothered about is the human race. In Nigeria, black policemen openly brutalize and victimize fellow Nigerians that pay their salaries and the government does close to nothing in addressing such issues.

Yes, we need to talk about Floyd and other lives that are undeservedly lost rather prematurely for whatever reason. And yes, we need to bring the matters home and look for ways of tackling this issue. Remember, it is not just a poorman's case and it could happen to anyone.

Injustice to one is injustice to all.

If you can't make any sense of what I just wrote,  that makes two of us.

Anyways, what do I even know sef.
